Whether you are just starting to get into skincare or have been for awhile, you may not be aware of all the factors that can make or break your skincare goals. Healthy and glowing skin comes not only from product but as well as what is going on inside your body. Yes, maintaining a healthy diet or great product helps tremendously but if you are stressed or overworking your body it can make a negative impact on your skin.

Stress increases your body’s production of cortisol in your adrenal glands, which then increases oil production from your sebaceous glands and turns into acne as well as making your skin extremely sensitive. If one tends to be more stressed than usual it can also bring out/ worsen your pre existing skin conditions, such as psoriasis, rosacea, and eczema. Stress can also lead to skin rashes or flare-up blisters.

One major way to help to combat stress is exercising, even low impact such as walking helps release endorphins. Endorphins are chemicals in the brain that act as a natural painkillers. Not only will doing some exercise help with stress but it can also help with quality of sleep as well as overall making you feel better/ happier.
