What can I expect during and after treatment?
You will come in and get comfortable while we numb your face or area to be treated for about 30 minutes with a numbing cream. You can take some Tylenol while numbing if we decide it would be a good idea and then we clean
your skin.
The practitioner will measure the treatment area and will then begin your treatment which usually is not painful, but feels a little hot. You will be given a hose that blows cold air through the tip to aim at the treatment area to help keep the heat at a more comfortable level.
Once the profractional laser treatment is complete, you will be able to hold the cold hose to the treated skin for another 5 to 10 minutes and spray cold Avene Spring Water to help cool and soothe your skin. You will feel hot and appear red like you have a sunburn and the heat will last from 1 to 4 hours typically.
The next day you will look red and on the 3 rd day, tiny freckles will appear and feel bumpy. These tiny brown “bumps” will slowly work their way out of your skin over the next few days and your skin will continue to remodel existing collagen and grow new collagen over the next few months.
