I am happy to be back in Austin after spending the last year traveling around the US working as a travel nurse. Working on multiple COVID units in the US and using the N-95s and additional facial PPE has been extremely hard on my skin. I have sensitive skin, and the changes in climate added an additional layer of stress to my skin. I needed medical grade skin care products big time!
I was having cystic acne breakouts and was accumulating an abundance of black and white comedones (pimples) on my cheeks, chin, and nose. I had not prioritized my skin care routine during this time traveling, but being back in Austin has allowed me the stability and space to get back to self-care.
It had been over a year since I had used any medical-grade skin care products, and I wanted to start there because I knew this would make a big difference! I started a new skincare regimen with the following steps:
- Mild, ZO Gentle facial cleanser. Completely dry face.
- TNS Advanced Serum (SkinMedica). TNS is applied twice daily before any other product. I always allow time for it to dry so the ingredients are not deactivated.
PLUS
- MORNING ROUTINE: AFTER the TNS, I apply a sunscreen and ZO daily moisturizer.
- EVENING ROUTINE: AFTER the TNS, I apply a retinol. I love both the ZO Radical Night Repair and the SkinBetter Alpha Ret. I use the ZO once or twice a week and use the Alpha Ret the rest of the week to keep from over drying my skin.
I had never used a growth factor serum previously, but I was convinced after seeing clients and photos of our clients whose skin had been transformed with this product. The product claims to rejuvenate skin by improving coarse wrinkles, fine lines, and overall texture.
My biggest complaint I had before starting this product was the development of fine lines around my lower eyes and the corners of my smile. My skin texture was looking dull and I felt like I was looking tired.
Since starting using this product twice daily, I have personally noticed improvement in my skin texture, and my skin looks tighter around my cheeks, especially. My skin looks brighter and more clear. This is after using the product for about 6 weeks now only. I am excited to see what the results will be long-term.
