When coming into the office for a filler appointment, it might be confusing to know which filler you need. In this post, I will provide a brief overview of each filler from Juvederm.
Juvederm Volbella XC
Longevity: 12 months
Area – natural, hydrated appearance of the lips and filling in deep wrinkles around the mouth. Can also be used in tear troughs.
Juvederm Vollure XC –
Longevity: 12-18 months
Area- marionette lines, lips, nasolabial folds, but also sturdy enough to be used for pre-jowl definition and lift capacity.
Juvederm Voluma XC –
Longevity: 24 months
Areas – A very sturdy filler that is great for cheeks, temples, under eye, piriform space (area right next to the nose) for slimming of the nostrils and alleviation of the upper nasolabial fold. Also great for jawline definition, pre-jowl definition, and chin.
Juvederm Ultra –
Longevity: 12 months
Areas: most commonly used for lips! Can also be used for nasolabial folds and marionette lines around the mouth. Also used to lift the oral commissures (corners of the mouth) to correct a downward turning smile. Can also be used to define philtrum columns.
Juvederm Ultra Plus –
Longevity: 12 months
Areas: a thicker product than Ultra that is great for heavy NLF or marionette lines. Used for deep lines around the face.
