Laser Hair Removal- No More 5 O’clock Shadow an Hour After Shaving

By: Erin Roche

Why am I talking about laser hair removal? Look, we have all been there, we spend countless hours in the shower shaving every little piece of hair we can find, just to step out of the shower and immediately get the goosebumps! Argh!! Now the hair is already back! I know I cannot be the only one. I realized enough was enough and began looking into the world of  permanent hair removal. My head was spinning with all the different ways people could remove hair but the one that stood out to me the most was Laser Hair Removal (LHR)!

The way LHR works, I soon discovered from a quick bit of precautionary research, is that pulses of highly concentrated light are emitted from the laser into the hair follicles. The pigment in the follicles absorbs the light and that destroys the hair. As I continued to deep dive into the world of hair removal, I found that 90 percent of laser hair removal patients who are good candidates for the procedure, report permanent hair loss after an average of three to six sessions!

Let me tell you, I was sold but there had to be a catch? Nope! Unlike other hair removal methods, this one truly is permanent. Consider that unwanted hair gone. The procedure itself feels like a hot  rubber band snap, totally bearable and definitely worth the results! Plus the treatment is typically 15-30 minutes depending on the area getting treated.

In conclusion, if you’re looking for a permanent solution for unwanted hair, lasers are the way to go and will save you time and thousands of dollars in the long run. No more shaving, plucking, or waxing. Plus ingrown hairs will be a thing of the past! The only thing I’m wondering now is why haven’t I looked into this sooner!
