Why I Will Never NOT Get Botox

By freelance writer and marketing specialist, Kristan Braziel

When I turned 50 last year, I couldn’t get over how big that number sounded. How… old it sounded. I remember my mom seeming far older at 50 than I felt on my 50th.

She’s never looked her age, though. My mom has gorgeous skin and her mom did, too. That creamy skin that always looks plump and fresh. The women in my family have good skin genes.

That hasn’t stopped me from getting Botox, though.

In fact, it’s one of the reasons I do get it: to slow the appearance of aging by softening lines and curbing the creation of new wrinkles. I look at it just like some people get regular mani-pedis or facials. I go in for Botox injections about once each quarter.

Getting Botox just makes me feel better about my appearance. And it’s something I do especially for me.

Over the years, I’ve had injections at a few different places, but the experience at L Aesthetics & Longevity is so much better than anywhere else I’ve been. I go to the Leander location, and the medspa has such a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

My favorite injector of all time and co-owner of L Aesthetics & Longevity, is Josh Iffla. He explains what he’s doing and why, and he’s fast but thorough. A real professional.

As I continue to age, I know I will never not get Botox. It’s become such a ritual of self-care for me, and I really do feel like I’m investing in myself.
