BUILD MUSCLE AND SCULPT YOUR BODY

NO SWEAT REQUIRED!

What is Emsculpt?
This is the first device that removes fat by working out the underlying muscle. FDA-cleared for the strengthening, toning, and firming of the abdomen and butt, arms and legs, Emsculpt delivers superior contouring results that existing non-invasive body shaping therapies cannot. The name Emsculpt is actually derived from the science behind the treatment. The first two letters—the E and the M in Emsculpt—is the technology behind it. It uses ElectroMagnetic energy to get the muscles to contract in the area you’re treating. The process is similar to how we contract our muscles naturally. Emsulpt takes over that process to a much stronger level than our bodies are able to. Using this electromagnetic energy causes the muscles to do what are called super maximal contractions. The technology induces 20,000 supramaximal muscle contractions not achievable through voluntary contractions—compared to doing 20,000 full contraction crunches or squats in 1 session. It works to burn fat and build muscle to sculpt you like never before. After 4 treatments you should experience increased muscle by 16% and reduced fat by 19% on average.

What does Emsculpt feel like?
It’s pretty hard to describe- it’s not painful, just uncomfortable. The reason for this strange feeling is your muscles are contracting involuntarily. Some say it feels like a deep vibration, while others have described it as a cramp or twitch in your muscles. Even though it’s uncomfortable at first, you slowly adjust to the sensation.
The treatment begins on a low setting and the intensity is gradually increased according to the patient’s tolerance. Most patients reach 100-percent intensity in their first session. In between intensity increments there is a resting phase. During this mode, the machine flushes lactic acid from the muscles so you get all the gain without the pain. As soon as the half-hour is complete, you are out the door: no down time, no redness, no swelling — really nothing but stronger muscles fibers in record time. Follow up sessions are considerably easier because your muscles are already stronger and you are more relaxed since you know what to expect.

Who is a good candidate for the procedure?
Emsculpt isn’t a perfect fit for everyone. The ideal candidates are thin, relatively fit patients looking for that extra definition in the abdomen and lift in their buttocks that their own efforts can’t accomplish.
Individuals who have a lot of generalized body fat won’t see a huge difference with Emsculpt. I recommend it to patients who are active but have a small stubborn area, as they are good candidates for this treatment.

How much does it cost?
The price varies depending on what doctor you see and which area of the body you’re working on, but each session can cost between $750 and $1,000. Since the recommendation is four treatments total over a two week span, you can expect the total cost to be between $3,000 and $4,000. After that, maintenance sessions are encouraged to keep muscles in shape, the same way you would continue going to the gym to keep up with your figure.
